Jack Nicol, Secretary-General
Jack is a senior at the College, majoring in Government. Originally from Indiana, Jack moved first to Colorado then Virginia before he found William & Mary. Since joining the College, he has spent time as an Resident Assistant and became a member of the International Relations club as a Freshman. Within the International Relations club, he has worked with the WMHSMUN Secretariat and has staffed WMIDMUN in many capacities during his time as a club member. Outside of the club, Jack also works as a Research Assistant with the TRIP project at the Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations. He is incredibly excited to bring together the WMIDMUN XVI Secretariat to make this year's conference the best one yet!
Liam Arne, Director-General
Liam is a senior studying International Relations and Arabic in the Joint Degree Programme between William & Mary and the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Outside of MUN, he is a diversity peer mentor, research assistant for three professors' books, and president of the WaMStA Partnership. You can often find him dancing across campus, no matter the time of day! He cannot wait to welcome you to W&M and WMIDMUN XVI!
Graham Connors, Chief of Staff
Graham is a senior from Chantilly, Virginia majoring in Government and Russian. Joining the International Relations club his freshman year, Graham has been deeply involved every since. From traveling with the club’s Model UN team to serving as its Vice President for Campus Affairs, working with its service branch IRCares to staffing its many Model UN conferences, Graham brings a variety of experiences to WMIDMUN XVI. Outside of the IRC, Graham is involved in his social fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon as its social chair. In his free time he enjoys cheering for the teams of his family’s home city, Pittsburgh, hanging out with his amazing friends, and relaxing outside. Graham is absolutely thrilled to see what the delegates, sponsors, and staff will bring to WMIDMUN XVI this February!
Emily White, Director of Registration
Emily is a senior from Stafford, Virginia majoring in government and minoring in history. Starting on her high school Model UN team, Emily soon rose to the top, leading her team as head delegate and participating on the college circuit for William & Mary. Her seven year (and counting!) passion for MUN has led to her serving as the Chief of Staff for WMIDMUN XV and returning this year as Director of Registration. Outside of the IRC, Emily is involved in the social sorority, Chi Omega, and has studied abroad in Prague through the College. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, and watching Major League Baseball (go Nationals!). Emily is very excited to return to WMIDMUN for another year and can't wait to see what great things XVI has in store!
Marie Murphy, Under-Secretary-General for Regional Assemblies and Specialized Agencies
Marie is a sophomore from Sterling, Virginia and is majoring in International Relations at the College. She joined William and Mary’s International Relations Club as a freshman and began competing in Model UN on the collegiate circuit. She directed a regional assembly at WMIDMUN XV and has staffed William and Mary’s other conferences. Other than International Relations Club and Model UN, Marie is the treasurer on the board of William and Mary’s Ballroom Dance club and studied abroad in Morocco this past summer in an Arabic immersion program. This is her first time as a Model UN Secretariat member, and she is excited to see the delegates grow and develop into thoughtful, articulate, and informed young leaders throughout their time at WMIDMUN XVI. She welcomes each and every delegate and sponsor to William and Mary this February.
Daniel Schafer, Under-Secretary-General for Crisis Committees
Daniel is a junior from Sterling, Virginia double majoring in International Relations and Russian and Post-Soviet Studies. Daniel decided to join IR Club after having a fantastic time staffing WMIDMUN his freshman year. The following year, Daniel crisis directed at WMIDMUN, and he is now incredibly excited to be serving on his Secretariat as USG-Crisis. Some of Daniel's favorite courses in college are in the Modern Languages departments, and outside of IR Club, he can found working as a teaching assistant for the German Department and a research aide for the Russian Department.
Raadhika Tandon, Director of Media
Raadhika is a sophomore from Sydney, Australia, living in Malvern, Pennsylvania and majoring in International Relations at the College. She joined the International Relations Club as a freshman, travelling on the college circuit and helping run William and Mary’s own conferences, both as a staffer and as a director. Outside of IRC, Raadhika is a member of the South Asian Student Association and has interned with her local House of Representatives member. In her spare time, she likes to play and listen to music, do artsy stuff, travel, and play with any available puppy. As a first time secretariat member, Raadhika looks forward to working with her team to help create the best WMIDMUN ever!
Cassie Heyman-Schrum, Director of Technology
Cassie is a sophomore from Fairfax, Virginia. She is majoring in International Relations and Psychology. Joining International Relations club her freshman year, Cassie has thoroughly enjoyed traveling to conferences, staffing our own, and even directing a committee at WMIDMUN XV. Outside of IRC, Cassie is part of Wizmug, the Harry Potter club, social chair of the William and Mary Women’s chorus, and a member of NKE, the music sorority on campus. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends, experimenting with new recipes, and reading. Cassie cannot wait to see what incredible experiences WMIDMUN XVI will bring!
Vishaal Mittal, Director of Conference Development
Vishaal is a junior from Vienna, Virginia and is majoring in International Relations and Economics. Since joining the International Relations Club in his freshman year, he has staffed several William and Mary Model UN Conferences. This is his first time being on a secretariat and is also looking forward to competing on the college circuit this year. Outside of the club, Vishaal is a member of the South Asian Student Association and is a research assistant for AidData. Vishaal loves to spend his free time playing tennis and traveling. He is looking forward to welcoming all the delegates and sponsors to campus for another great conference!
