Secretary-General
Hannah ray
Hannah is a senior from Richmond, VA, studying Government and Global Studies with a concentration in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. They got involved in Model UN right here at William & Mary, traveling as a delegate, raising money for charity as Service Chair, and kept in touch with sponsors as last year’s Registration Director. Outside of IRC, they are a Research Fellow for the International Justice Lab and a Reporting Fellow for the Pulitzer Center. In their free time, they love to watch movies, play Pokémon Go, and always has WMIDMUN on the mind, excited to welcome you all here in the Spring!

Ellie Madigan
Ellie is a senior from Richmond, VA, double majoring in French and Economics. She has been involved with the International Relations Club since her first semester at W&M, where she fell in love with MUN from her very first crisis note! This is her third time serving on a secretariat, having worked as Registration Director for WMHSMUN XXXVII and USG-Crisis for WMIDMUN XXI, and she is very excited to be this year’s Director-General. Outside of IRC, she can usually be found taking long walks in Colonial Williamsburg, cooking meals for her friends, or reading obscure French books. She is ecstatic to welcome you all to WMIDMUN XXIII!
Registration Director
Carter Danto
Carter Danto is a junior from Westerly, RI, studying International Relations and English. Since his freshman year, he has been an active member of the International Relations Club. He has traveled with the William & Mary Model UN team and served on the secretariat for WMIDMUN XXI and WMIDMUN XXII, in addition to staffing WMHSMUN XXXVI and WMHSMUN XXXVII. He is always impressed with the growth and diplomacy shown by the delegates at WMIDMUN. He enjoys reading and writing in his free time. He is so excited to welcome everyone to WMIDMUN XXIII!
Chief of Staff
Ally swindell
Ally Swindell is a senior from Bentonville, Arkansas majoring in International Relations with a minor in History. Ally began competing in Model UN her freshman year of high school and has been an active member of the International Relations Club and William & Mary’s travel Model UN team since her freshman year. She has previously Directed and Chaired for WMIDMUN, WMHSMUN, and &MUN in addition to serving as USG Novice for WMHSMUN XXXVI. While studying abroad at the University of Oxford, Ally served as a chair for their high school conference OxfordMUN. She loves seeing delegates grow as public speakers and collaborators while having fun, engaging debates. Outside of MUN, Ally is involved with multiple organizations including William & Mary’s Wargaming Lab and serving as a Tour Guide for Undergraduate Admissions. In her free time, she enjoys reading and going on walks around Williamsburg. Ally is WMIDHYPE and can’t wait to welcome everyone to campus in February.

Sophie yeon
Sophie is a freshman from New Orleans, Louisiana studying public policy and public health. She joined Model UN as a sophomore in high school and decided to continue her journey by joining the International Relations Club. Sophie directed for the 2024 Louisiana Model UN and for WMHSMUN XXXVII. Outside of IRC she’s in the W&M wind ensemble, public policy club, and Tri-Delta sorority. In her free time she enjoys doing calligraphy and watching movies. Sophie is beyond thrilled to be in the secretariat for her first WMIDMUN conference and to discover the exciting ideas delegates will bring!

Emerson rosenthal-king
Emerson Rosenthal-King is a junior from Los Angeles, California, majoring in Government and minoring in History. He first became involved with MUN in high school when he traveled as a delegate. Since coming to William & Mary, Emerson has been an active member of the International Relations Club. He has staffed WMHSMUN, WMIDMUN, and &MUN. During WMIDMUN XXI, he kept in touch with sponsors as Registration Director. Outside of IRC, Emerson is involved with multiple organizations, including the Young Democrats. In his spare time, Emerson enjoys a good book, movies of any genre, and grabbing coffee with friends. Along with the rest of Secretariat, Emerson is thrilled to welcome everyone to WMIDMUN XXII!

Connor Gold
Connor is a junior from Marblehead, Massachusetts studying Government and Business. Connor first competed in MUN in 9th grade and has stuck with it ever since. Last year he served as Director of Public Relations for WMIDMUN and is thrilled to return as a USG. Outside of MUN Connor plays basketball and enjoys anything outside. Connor has always respected the camaraderie, thoroughness, and scope of the debates he has seen at WMID, and is looking forward to another great conference.

Nolan Jansorn
Nolan is a sophomore from Aldie, Virginia, currently majoring in government, and going into his sixth year in Model UN. This is his second year at WMIDMUN, and his first year on WMID secretariat. Besides MUN, he is a member of the College Company reenactment group, the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, and the John Quincy Adams Society. Outside of clubs, he enjoys reading, hiking, and photography. He’s excited to see what exciting plans and arcs delegates come up with this year!
Director of Conference Development
Elizabeth Ott
Elizabeth is a senior from Remington, Virginia majoring in International Relations and minoring in Data Science. Elizabeth first got involved in Model UN in her junior year of high school. She joined the International Relations Club in her freshman year at William & Mary, and has directed or staffed at every conference since. Beyond IRC, Elizabeth is a research analyst for geoLab and involved in the Center for Geospatial Analysis at William & Mary. In her free time, she likes to take walks or read in Colonial Williamsburg and go to concerts. She cannot wait to welcome everyone to Williamsburg for WMIDMUN XXIII!
