lyndon b. johnson’s campaign trail, 1964
The fall of ‘64. It's been nearly a year since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated and the nation was rocked to its core. The source of hope for many, and the root of greatness, Kennedy’s legacy remains to be inherited. Vice President Lyndon Johnson seems to want to stop at nothing to get into the Oval office and has no signals of restraint. As the Vietnam War wages on, Johnson’s cabinet that he inherited from Kennedy sits nervously as the dawn of a new election approaches. Barry Goldwater and JFK’s brother Robert Kennedy set their sights on the White House. It’s up to the delegates representing cabinet members and campaign managers to take the Johnson presidency to the next term.
