TOHOKU EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI (FUKUSHIMA), 2011
March 11, 2011. Amidst growing conflict within the Japanese Cabinet, a terrible earthquake rocks Japan to its core. Death, destruction, and growing destitution are left behind in the wake of the accompanying tsunami, and it will take all of Japan to piece the nation back together. Located in the infamous ‘Ring of Fire’, Japan is especially susceptible to earthquakes, but the nation was caught seemingly unprepared by this disaster. Moreover, citizens are worried, trepid, and terrified about the future and safety of the nuclear plant at Fukushima. How will Japan recover from the worst earthquake in its history, and how will it prepare for the possibility of it happening again?
